T22 Seamless Alloy-Steel Boiler Tubes

ASTM A213/ASME SA213 T22 Seamless Alloy-Steel Boiler Tubes

Short Description:

ASTM A213 T22 Seamless Ferritic Alloy-Steel Boiler Tubes are made by the seamless process, ASTM A213 T22 Steel Tubes for Seamless Ferritic and Austenitic Alloy-Steel Boiler, Superheater, and Heat-Exchanger Tubes.

A213 T22: “A” is the mark of ASTM steel material. “213” refers to the code sequence number, “T22” refers to the steel grade classification, “t” refers to small diameter pipe, equivalent to 12CR2MOG small diameter pipe in China.)

A213 T22 is a chrome molybdenum high temperature ferritic steel for boiler and superheater with ASTM A-213 / A-213m standard steel grade of 2.25Cr-lMo. It was transplanted to GB5310 in 1985 and named 12CR2MOG. Other countries also have similar steel grades, such as 10CrMo910 in Federal Germany and stba24 in Japan. In the CR -1Mo steel series, its thermal strength performance comparison draft; at the same temperature (temperature ≤ 580 ℃), its creep fracture strength and allowable stress are even higher than that of 9Cr – 1Mo steel; moreover, it has good processability, weldability and durable plasticity. Therefore, it has been widely used in the harsh working environment, such as various heating pipes and high-pressure vessels in thermal power, nuclear power and some hydrogen generating equipment.

Note: Material furnished under ASTM A213 conform to the applicable requirements of the current edition of Specification A1016/A1016M

Application:
Allowable operating temperature: it is mainly used for superheater with wall temperature ≤ 580 ° C and steam pipe and header with wall temperature ≤ 540 ° C of large capacity power station boiler such as 300. 600MW. This kind of steel has been widely used in the United States, Japan and Europe. It has a long history in power plant operation and is a mature steel with stable running and good process performance.

ASTM A213 T22 Seamless Boiler Tubes Marking
In addition to the marking prescribed in Specification ASTM A1016/A1016M, the marking shall indicate whether the tube is hot-finished or cold-finished.

Selection of A-213 T22 welding material
The welding methods of manual welding, gas shielded tungsten electrode or melting electrode automatic welding and submerged arc automatic welding can be adopted. E6015-b3 (heat 407) welding rod can be used for manual arc welding, and EB3 / sj110 welding wire can be used for automatic welding. T22 steel has quenching and cold crack direction. It is required to preheat 200 ~ 350 ℃ for thick wall pipe before welding, and conduct post welding heat treatment for the pipe with wall thickness more than 8mm.

Bending of A-213 T22
It is suitable for all kinds of bending processes. After cold bending, stress relief treatment is required; when the temperature of hot bending exceeds the tempering temperature, normalizing and heat treatment shall be carried out again.
